Willie Mae “Tish” Ambrose, 91 of Manns Harbor, died December 28, 2019 at Peak Resources – Outer Banks surrounded by her family.

Ms. Ambrose was born in East Lake. She was a long-time member and a pillar of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. She served many years with the United Methodist Women. She was the daughter of the late Willie Nathaniel Crain and the late Julia Mae Bratten Crain. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Wilson Ambrose, sons Willie Christopher Ambrose and Baby Boy Ambrose; daughter Julia Faye Ambrose Perry and sister Rose Hand.

Ms. Ambrose is survived by her son, Roy (Sharon) Ambrose Sr; grandsons Roy (Melissa) Ambrose Jr. and Jeff (Crystal) Ambrose; and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church in Manns Harbor on December 31 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends after the service in the church’s fellowship hall and other times at her son’s home.
