According to the Dare County Sheriff’s Office, on December 27, 2019, DCSO’s A District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Colington area.

During the traffic stop, a DCSO K-9 alerted on the vehicle. The vehicle was searched and an amount of cocaine was located, according to DCSO.

Nicole Hope Hassell, 32, of Colington, was arrested for felony possession of cocaine and was released on a $5,000 secured bond.
