Bud Midgett, 69, died January 10, 2020 at Waterbrooke of Elizabeth City.

Bud was born in Columbia on December 27, 1950 to the late Robert E. and Ina Basnight Midgett.

Prior to his retirement, Bud worked 43 years as a barber. Many of those years were spent working on the campus of Duke University. Bud loved the outdoors and traveling. He also loved to “ride out” with his aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by sister, Loretta Midgett Furlough. Surviving are nephews, nieces, their children and several cousins.

A service will be held on January 19 at 2 p.m. at Albemarle Church of Christ in Columbia.

Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia.
