New playground installed at Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building

Just in time for Old Christmas, a new playground was installed at the Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo Community Building in Rodanthe.

The two ships wrecked on rocks theme was designed and installed by Superior Recreation of the Carolinas, Cheraw, S.C. The Community Building Board of Trustees paid for the new equipment.

The Old Christmas celebration took place  Jan. 4 at the Community Building. An oyster shoot started at 1 p.m. In the late afternoon before dinner, there was a children’s program and Santa delivered children’s stockings. Dinner was served at 5 p.m., followed by a band playing and an oyster roast.
