Pre-bid meeting for Dare County Animal Shelter project set for Wednesday

A pre-bid meeting about the new Dare County Animal Shelter will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 168 of the Dare County Administration Building located at 954 Marshall C. Collins Dr. in Manteo.

It is highly encouraged that those interested in bidding on the project attend this meeting as the bid requirements and procedures will be reviewed in detail.

The animal shelter and adoption facility for Dare County will be located at 364 Airport Road on Roanoke Island.

It will be a one-story, masonry and steel, brick veneered and metal panel siding, steel-framed building. The building is approximately 8,727 square feet with a proposed elevated floor finish elevation of 13.5 feet and will feature a thermoplastic polyolefin roof, exposed and acoustic ceilings, drywall cold-formed metal framing and exterior storefront and windows.
