Dare County offices closed Monday, Jan. 20; trash collection changes noted

Dare County offices are closed Monday, Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Dare County C&D Landfill, Buxton Transfer Station, Rodanthe Recycle Center and Manteo Recycle Yard will also be closed Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, in observance of the holiday.
The residential trash collection for the week of Jan. 20 through Jan. 24 is as follows:
– Monday, Jan. 20 – CLOSED, No trash collection
–Tuesday, Jan. 21 – Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras
– Wednesday, Jan. 22 – Manteo, Wanchese, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Manns Harbor, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon
– Thursday, Jan. 23 – Kitty Hawk, Colington, Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras
– Friday, Jan. 24 – Manteo, Wanchese, East Lake, Stumpy Point, Manns Harbor, Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Avon
Commercial dumpsters will be picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and Friday, Jan. 24.
Dare County offices will re-open at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 21.
