Violet and Jack Cook of Kill Devil Hills welcomed 8 lb., 4 oz. Lula Anne Cook into the world on New Year’s Day at 4:06 a.m. at The Outer Banks Hospital. Baby Cook was due on December 20, 2019 but it appears she wanted to wait until the new decade. Both parents are excited for their first child and proud daddy Jack mentioned that they thought it was “cool to be able to have kids locally on the Outer Banks.” He also noted that they had nothing but great experiences with the hospital and because of their friendship with Ashley Olvey, a fellow church parishioner who happens to be a labor and delivery nurse at TOBH, it was even better.
