Powell’s Point Senior Center. “Switch‐A‐Roo” Bingo. Starts at 10:30 a.m.

Library Garden Series: Native Plants for 4 Seasons. 11 a.m. to noon at Kill Devil Hills Library. Dare County Master Gardeners have chosen plants that are well adapted to the physical environment formed by our local climate, weather conditions, soil types and other factors that affect gardening on the Outer Banks, selecting plants that add interest in all four seasons. All programs are free, registration not required.

Currituck Senior Center. Presentation at 12:15 p.m. by Shelia Gregory, Cooperative Extension. “More in My Basket” provides SNAP outreach in North Carolina through education about program eligibility, program benefits and resources to stretch limited resources. Individual assistance is provided to help people apply for SNAP. The goal of this program is to increase SNAP participation through education and minimizing barriers to participation. Deadline to sign up: Jan. 27.

Dare County Blood Drive. 1 to 5 p.m. at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head. All donors will receive a complimentary one-day fishing pass. Please visit RedCrossBlood.org and enter: JennettesPier to schedule an appointment.

Peer Support. 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Drop-in group for those battling challenges such as substance abuse and mental health and emotional challenges. Meet with J.D. Rea at Hyde County Behavior Health Building, 1221 Main St., Swan Quarter.

How to Keep Your Computer Clean. 7 p.m. at Kill Devil Hills Town Hall. Bring your laptop or notebook to take notes if you use a desktop computer. This event is free and the public is welcome.
