All new furniture, as shown in this rendering, will grace the new Cape Hatteras Secondary media center, which may be ready for students before the end of the school year. Before the new carpet and furniture can be installed, the media center roof needs replacing. On Tuesday, Feb. 11, the Dare Board of Education approved a contract to fix the damaged roof and a contract for the new furniture. The vendor for the furniture is Brame Specialty Co., Inc. with offices in Rocky Mount and Wilmington. The contract price is $248,057.94.
