Hyde residents take part in South American mission trip

Six Hyde County residents are currently in Colombia, South America on a mission trip pouring concrete, doing roofing and electrical work, painting and doing yard work. They are working with Colombian Christian Mission, started by Dale and Jeanie Mead in 1973. Mark Carawan, Mike Caton, Randy Clayton, Richard Dunbar, Doris Glass and Carrie Kelm attend Mount Olive Church of Christ in Ponzer and decided to go to Colombia after Dale Mead did a presentation at the church on the work they are performing.
