Chris Allen, police officer with Vidant Health Company Police, has been named The Outer Banks Hospital’s February 2020 Employee of the Month. Allen is from Currituck and started with the Vidant Police at The Outer Banks Hospital in November of 2016.

“Allen always has a happy disposition and brings a smile to stressful events affecting the staff,” stated a press release from TOBH. “He responds to emergent situations in a timely manner and he has great presence in the department.”

“He has good instincts about patients, especially when situations are beginning to change. Allen takes his role in the hospital very seriously and it is evident from his work ethic,” the release continued. “He is willing to help with minor tasks that can make a significant difference. From taking specimens to the lab or guiding family members to rooms and the lobby, Allen does the little things that help ensure a well-functioning ED.”
