Manteo limits Town Hall access due to virus concerns

The Town of Manteo has made adjustments to meetings and Town Hall access related to the ongoing coronavirus situation.

The Town of Manteo’s regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners scheduled for April 1, 2020 will be held via telephone conference or other means in accordance with NC General Statute 143.318.13. The public will be allowed to access or listen to the meeting and the access numbers and information will be published as soon as possible.

The budget retreat with the Board of Commissioners had scheduled for March 27, 2020 has been postponed.

The town also advises the public to limit access to Town Hall to urgent situations only. People should call 252-473-2133 first to see if business may be handled over the phone, online or through other means.

For non-emergency assistance by the Manteo Police Department, call 252-473-2069. There is also a call box located at the police department entrance and the public is advised to use this box, especially if feeling ill or have been exposed to sickness. For emergency help, dial 911.
