Austin Wilton Boyd, 28, of Nags Head, died suddenly on April 17, 2020, in Wilmington.

He was born on February 27th, 1992. A man of the ocean, he loved boating, fishing and surfing. He also embodied many talents and enjoyed working on trucks and perfecting landscaping projects.

Austin was sweet and unassuming with a heartwarming smile. He had a quick wit, an easy laugh and was fun to  be around. Austin accepted Jesus Christ into his heart before his passing. He also took pride in encouraging others in their walk.

He is survived by parents Milton and Dianne Boyd of Nags Head; two daughters; sister Ashley Ellender of Wilmington, her husband Joe Ellender and their two sons, along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on April 25 at Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk with Pastor Stephen Wescott officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help the family with expenses at any NCSECU branch (account ending in 5973, in the name of Dianne Boyd designated for Austin Boyd).
