Sandy Semans Ross, the chair of the Dare County election board, shows examples of face coverings that could be used by poll workers during the November election.
The election board is exploring ways to keep voters and poll workers safe in the event the pandemic health crisis extends into the fall.
“We are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best,” said one board member.
