COVID-19 testing clinics scheduled in Manteo and Ocracoke

A Dare County testing clinic will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2020, starting at 1 p.m. at Dare County Center located at 950 Marshall Collins Drive in Manteo. Individuals can register for an appointment for the diagnostic test, the antibody test or both.

Registration is required. To schedule an appointment, call 252-475-5008. The call center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This is not a free event, however, individuals with insurance will not incur any out of pocket cost as the COVID-19 test is completely covered, no deductible and no co-pays. All insurances cover the COVID-19 diagnostic test, including Medicaid and Medicare,” stated a press release from Dare County. “Mako Medical Laboratories will utilize the COVID-19 Relief Fund to cover costs of diagnostic testing for individuals who are uninsured. Mako Medical Laboratories will work with individuals without insurance who are seeking antibody testing. More information will be provided when individuals call to register for an appointment.”

On Thursday, July 30, Hyde County Health Department is sponsoring a drive through COVID-19 testing clinic in Ocracoke. Diagnostic testing will be offered starting at 2 p.m. at the NPS Ocracoke Boat Ramp Parking Lot.

Residents from Hyde, Beaufort, Dare, Martin, Tyrrell and Washington counties age 10 years and older are eligible for this clinic.

The Ocracoke test is by appointment only. Call 252-926-4382 or 252-926-4397 to schedule an appointment.

Individuals tested will not incur out-of-pocket costs at this testing. Bring identification and insurance card.

Dare and Hyde counties are partnering with Mako Medical Laboratories of Raleigh for these testing clinics.
