Carolyn Sherlock Johnson Ludford

Carolyn Sherlock Johnson Ludford, 86, of Elizabeth City, died August 3, 2020 at Edenton House. She was born August 7, 1933 in Pasquotank County to the late Ulysses Delon Johnson and Mittie Sherlock Johnson and was the widow of Frank Carr Ludford. She was a retired public school teacher and member of The First Baptist Church.

She is survived by niece Marguerite Harris (Bobby) of Camden and nephew Enoch Ludford (Judy) of Camden. She was pre-deceased by brother Herbert H. Johnson.

Due to the coronavirus, no services are planned at this time. Memorial donations may be made to The First Baptist Church, 300 West Main Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
