Jean Waters White, 86, of Harbinger, died September 4, 2020.

In addition to husband Jack, she was preceded in death by sisters Virginia, Shirley and Vivian; and brother JR.

Jean is survived by children Pamela Jean Urbanek (Allen), Jack D. White Jr. (Bernadine) and Rebecca White Rushe; grandchildren Thomas, Tracey, Kristy, Patrick, Zeke and Sabrina; several great-grandchildren; sisters Patsey Stubbs and Clara Davis; and brother Jimmy Waters.

After moving to the Outer Banks in the early 1970s, Jean helped her husband Jack with their construction business. She also ran her own construction cleanup business for several years.

Jean will be laid to rest next to her husband Jack during a graveside funeral at 11 a.m. on September 9 at Knotts Island Community Cemetery. Casual dress will be accommodated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice or Knotts Island United Methodist Church.
