Every Saturday during the month of October, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Island Farm is holding special fall family fun events on Roanoke Island.

Participants can pick a favorite pumpkin, journey through the new straw maze, make a hand-dipped candle or corn husk doll, learn about and participate in nature weaving, play pumpkin-tac-toe, corncob lob and more. Island Farm’s apple press will be turning, and the fire crackling; fresh popcorn (cooked over the fire) will be available for sampling and a custom tractor photo booth will be available.

“A variety of COVID-19 precautions will be in place to keep visitors and staff safe,” stated a press release from Island Farm. “This is an outdoor event, although masks are required where social distancing cannot be maintained. Hand sanitizer will be available for guests.”
