Rufus Hopkins and daughter Beth Massie recently visited The Elizabethan Gardens to see the engraved brick purchased by the Roanoke Island Garden Club in memory of much-loved, long-time club member Jeri Hopkins.

Jeri was very active with the club, leading its efforts to decorate downtown Manteo for the Christmas holidays.

The brick reads, Jeri Hopkins Our Inspiration: RIGC “Just 1 More Thing!” highlighting her ongoing desire to add yet another spray of greenery or a special ribbon to the Maritime Boat Museum, Lighthouse or other structures in the town.
