Lauren Montgomery signs on to play soccer with University of Mississippi

First Flight High School senior Lauren Montgomery has signed her National Letter of Intent to play soccer at the University of Mississippi.

A lifelong resident of the Outer Banks, Montgomery was first introduced to the game by participating in a Coastal Soccer School summer camp, where she now assists as a coach. Through the years, she played soccer locally through programs such as Dare County Parks and Recreation, Outer Banks Youth Soccer Association and OBX Storm Travel Soccer.

In more recent years, Montgomery has played club soccer with Beach FC Travel Soccer in Virginia Beach and has represented North Carolina on state, regional and international teams through the Olympic Development Program. She has played scholastically with both First Flight Middle School and First Flight High School and was part of the First Flight High School 2018 NCHSAA 2A State Championship team.
