Thirty-seven additional positive COVID-19 test results reported in Dare

The Dare County Department of Health and Human Services reported 37 additional positive COVID-19 test results on Wednesday afternoon, December 2.

DCDHHS reports there have been 1104 total COVID-19 positive cases since testing and reporting began, broken down as 707 Dare residents and 397 non-residents, with 527 of the cases male and 577 female. The age breakdown is 136 age 17 and under, 189 age 18-24, 384 age 25-49, 242 age 50-64 and 153 age 65 and over.

There are currently 87 active positive cases in Dare among residents, including 78 in home isolation and nine hospitalized, while 614 are reported as recovered/asymptomatically cleared. Five deaths have been attributed to COVID-19 and one death is listed as a death from other causes (non-COVID).

Among non-residents reported by DCDHHS, 293 are reported as recovered/asymptomatically cleared, 102 transferred isolation to home county, two are hospitalized and none are reported as in isolation in Dare.
