North Carolina Marine Fisheries Proclamation FF-47-2020 closed the commercial harvest of gray triggerfish on Nov. 29 due to the 2020 commercial annual catch limit being met. The fishery will re-open on Jan. 1, 2021.

The proclamation states: “It is unlawful to sell or offer for sale gray triggerfish taken from waters under the jurisdiction of North Carolina or the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council.”
