Robert Francis Turner, 70, died suddenly of natural causes at home in Kill Devil Hills December 12, 2020. He was born in Norfolk, Va. but raised mostly in California in a military family. He eventually went on to join the US Army himself and served honorably during the Vietnam War era.

Robert’s survivors include sons Mathew J. Turner (Rebecca) and Bryan R. Turner (Tara); five grandchildren, and his former wife Maureen, all of California; sisters Vivian “Crystal” Turner of Kill Devil Hills and Beverly Cassias of South Dakota; nieces Nerrisa, Ashley, Tatiana and Anjelica; nephews David, Niki, Nathaniel, Justin and Gilbert; and many other relatives and friends.

No memorial services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family is urgently requesting donations towards Robert’s sudden cremation expenses.
