Drive-through donation event set for Saturday in Manteo

The Town of Manteo and the Pea Island Preservation Society will be collecting donations of any nonperishable food items, cleaning supplies and diapers to benefit the three local food pantries in Manteo.

The drive-through food drive will take place on December 19 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Magnolia Pavilion at 408 Queen Elizabeth Avenue and the Pea Island Cookhouse Museum at 622 Sir Walter Street.

Volunteers will be practicing social distancing guidelines and will be waiting to receive items in a “drive-through” fashion so those making donations can remain in their vehicles.
