All indoor recreation activities scheduled at Dare County facilities are suspended until further notice, effective at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021.

The Dare County Youth Center, Baum Center, Lions Club Center, Dare County Center and Fessenden Center will be closed to the public.

The closures come following a directive issued by state health officials indicating that individuals in North Carolina “should only leave home for essential activities such as going to school or work, getting food, seeking medical care or caring for family members,” stated a press release from Dare County.
