Ramona J. Provo died January 6, 2021. The final survivor of the last family to live in the principle keeper’s quarters of the Cape Hatteras Light Station, Ramona was predeceased by father Unaka Benjamin Jennette and mother Jennie Louana Scarborough Jennette. She is also predeceased by siblings Almy Jennette, Vivian Frontis, Myrtle Gibbs, Rany Jennette, Olive Peak and Dorcas Anderson. She is survived by daughters Tia Provo Cheek (Preston) and Patricia Lynn Lee (Gilbert); grandchildren Elisabeth Dubberly (Brian), Timothy Cheek, Tracie Lee and Ryan Lee (Caroline); seven great-grandchildren; five nieces and one nephew.

A private Celebration of Life is planned in the spring at the Jennette family gravesite near the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.
