Sheriff’s blotter for December released

The Dare County Sheriff’s Office has posted its blotter for December 2020 for areas in unincorporated Dare County.

Eight crimes are reported, with six on Hatteras Island and two in Colington.

A firearm was stolen in Waves.

Dec. 2: Obtaining property by false pretenses. 100 block of Partridge Trail, Colington. Warrant for arrest scam.

Dec. 3: Breaking and entering and larceny. 47000 block of Lost Tree Trial, Buxton. House ransacked.

Dec. 6: Larceny by employee. 47000 block of NC 12, Buxton. Money stolen.

Dec. 10: Larceny. 47000 block of Buxton Back Rd., Buxton. Medication reported stolen.

Dec. 11: Breaking and entering motor vehicle. 25000 block of NC 12, Waves. Firearm stolen.

Dec. 14: Breaking and entering and larceny. 100 block of Eagle Dr., Colington. Televisions stolen.

Dec. 21: Breaking and entering motor vehicle. 47000 block of Gaskins Lane, Buxton. Money and medication stolen.

Dec. 29: Larceny of automobile. 25000 block of Carrolls Rd., Waves. Vehicle reported stolen.
