Wright Brothers National Memorial announces entrance fee-free days for 2021

Wright Brothers National Memorial will waive its entrance fee on seven days in 2021.

The seven fee-free days for 2021 will be:

– Monday, Jan. 18: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

– Saturday, April 17: First Day of National Park Week

– Wednesday, Aug. 4: Great American Outdoors Act anniversary

– Wednesday, Aug. 25: National Park Service Birthday

– Saturday, Sept. 25: National Public Lands Day

– Thursday, Nov. 11: Veterans Day

– Friday, Dec. 17: 118th anniversary of the Wright Brothers’ first flight

The grounds and visitor center at the Wright Brothers National Memorial are open every day except Christmas from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The adult entrance fee is $10 is for one person 16 years old or older and is good for seven consecutive seven days from the date of purchase.

Children 15 years old or younger are free.

A Wright Brothers Annual Pass is available for $35. The pass allows unlimited entry to Wright Brothers National Memorial for 12 months from date of purchase. The pass admits the passholder plus three adults 16 years old or older.

Two groups have year-round, fee-free access to the Wright Brothers National Memorial and other National Park locations with fees.

Under the Every Kid Outdoors program, all fourth graders along with families are granted fee-free access. On Oct. 28, 2020 and due to the coronavirus pandemic, fifth graders along with families have fee-free access through Aug. 31, 2021.

On Veterans Day in 2020, Veterans and Gold Star families were granted fee-free access in perpetuity.

Veterans and Gold Star families have free access to Wright Brothers National Memorial and other federal lands. A veteran is a person who has served in the United States Armed Forces, including the National Guard and Reserves, and is able to present one of the following forms of identification: Department of Defense Identification Card, Veteran Health Identification Card, Veteran ID Card or Veterans designation on a state-issued U.S. driver’s license or identification card.
