Billy Gaither Midgette Jr., of Wanchese, proposes to extend an existing pound net set.

The pound’s’ location is in the vicinity of Hog Island, Croatan Sound. The entire set will extend a total of 232 yards in length and contain two pounds.

The set number is #PN202005.

Public comments relative to the proposed extension to an existing pound net set must be received prior to Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021. If it is deemed necessary, the fisheries director may hold a public meeting after the comment period has ended to take additional public comment on the proposed pound net set extension.
