Irene “Kim” Rowell Campbell, 83, of Elizabeth City, died at the Currituck House after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Born in Warrington, England, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Rowell.

She is survived by daughters Tracey Shumate, Lorri Meadows (David) and Shea Berry-Bundy (Luke); sons Kenneth Campbell (Leslie) and Shane Campbell; step-like children Brandy Foresdick and Benjamin Campbell; grandson Jesse (Amber); two great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by sister Joyce Rowell Abbott.

A private service for the family will be held in the gardens at Church of the Redeemer. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (http://www.alz.org/). Twiford Funeral Home, Elizabeth City is assisting the family. www.TwifordFH.com.
