Margaret Edna Leake Smith, 86, died April 8, 2021 in Lakeland, Fla. She was born November 15, 1934 in Lonaconing, Md. and was the wife of the late Rev. R.D. Smith Sr.

Margaret was the daughter of the late Thomas Sidney Leake and the late Jean Fillins Steele Leake. She was preceded in death by sisters Ruth Yost and Louise Younkin.

Survivors include son Robert D. Smith Jr. and his wife Amanda, grandchildren Rebecca Merskin (Elliott) and Robert D. Smith III (Amy); four great-grandchildren; brother Rev. James S. Leake (Becky) as well as nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held April 16 from 9-11 a.m. at the Hancock Assembly of God with the commencement service immediately following at 11 a.m. The committal will be held at the end of the service. Interment will be at the Tonoloway Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Social distancing and wearing face coverings is requested. Livestreaming will be available for everyone to view the commencement service. Arrangements were entrusted to the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock, Md.
