Jane Marie Hobson Thomson, formerly of Portsmouth, Virginia, passed away on April 10th, 2021 at the age of 88.

Jane was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late Amos Johnson Hobson and Margaret Kelly Hobson. Jane was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Radford University. She was an avid golfer, world traveler, talented artist, quilter and homemaker. She loved a good book, a boat trip on the Elizabeth River and a glass of wine. She also loved many dogs and cats in her lifetime. She was a loving wife and mother.

Jane was predeceased by her husband Peter Winfield Thomson and sister Judith Ann Hobson. She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Weybright and husband David, Carol Thomson and spouse Lorna Collingridge, Jessie Shirley McClary and husband Dave, and her grandchildren, Molly and Sam Weybright and Mac and Gabi McClary.

A private service will be held for family members. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
