January 25, 1980 – April 21, 2021

Anthony “Tony” Vincent Nelson, 41, passed away April 21, 2021 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was born January 25, 1980 in Hackettstown, New Jersey to Denise and David Nelson. While he lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia for a period of time, Tony moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina during his childhood and made Ocracoke his home. He was employed with the federal government for the past four years serving as a maintenance specialist, where he earned several awards for going above and beyond in his duties.

Tony is survived by his wife, Sarah Neal; four daughters, Fiona, Kiera, Charlotte and Julianna Nelson; his parents, Denise and David Nelson; two brothers, Christopher and David Nelson Jr., as well as his nephews, Steven and Brian Nelson and his niece, Amanda Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony and Annette Colombraro and Marjorie and Emil Nelson.

Tony was an incredibly adored and loved member of our family. He was a devoted son, brother, husband and father. His generous and kind personality will be greatly missed by countless friends and all who knew him.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held in Ocracoke, North Carolina in the coming weeks. More information will be provided shortly on the date of that service.
