Leslie Rex Henley Jr.

Leslie Rex Henley Jr., 55, of Kitty Hawk, died at home on May 28, 2021.

Born October 20, 1965, Rex was the son of Leslie Rex Henley Sr. and Betty Lou Henley of Kitty Hawk. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Melvin Tillett and Zola Beachum Tillett (Gram), paternal grandparents Leslie James Henley and Oriental Dell Henley and brother-in-law Nick Ward.

Rex is survived by wife Diane Midgett; daughter Dawn Henley; stepsons Alan Guthrie and Adam Finley; step-grandson Elijah Smith; sisters Leslie Henley and Debbie Scarborough (Jimmy Ray); brother David Henley (Sheri); brother-in-law and sister-in-law Macon and Debbie Vaughan and other family and friends.

Rex served in the United States Coast Guard.

Per Rex’s request, the family had a private gathering with a celebration of life being scheduled for a later date.
