On Saturday, June 12, two beach cleanups are scheduled in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

From 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Coquina Beach on Bodie Island and Old Lighthouse Beach in Buxton, volunteers will help seashore staff clean up the beach. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

At the same time, North Carolina Beach Buggy Association members will be stationed at off-road vehicle ramps handing out trash bags for collecting litter. Contact Tom Brueckner at tom.brueckner@ncbba.org for more information.
