The Food Bank of the Albemarle, in partnership with Colington United Methodist Church, will visit the parking lot of First Flight Elementary School in Kill Devil Hills on Thursday, June 9, 2021 from 4:30-6 p.m.

When driving up to the check in area, do not get out of vehicles to register. A volunteer will approach and take needed information. Volunteers will then load the groceries into the vehicle. “Please leave sufficient room in your vehicle for us to load the groceries,” stated the event announcement. “If there is insufficient room you will be directed to an area where you can park and you will be responsible for loading.”

Food will be distributed to area residents who struggle to make ends meet and are in need of emergency food assistance. This may be senior citizens living on fixed incomes, disabled persons, any individual or family currently receiving food stamps and working families who are making tough choices between buying food and paying for other necessities.
