Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. – Psalm 25:4

There are so many ways to get to the beach. Hiking over natural sand dunes, taking an easy stroll on a beautiful wooden walkway, stepping out your back door where the panoramic view unfolds. However, not all paths are easy. Some may be hard.

It is like that way in life too. There are many ways to get to our destination but not all ways are equal. It can be disheartening when another person’s life seems so easy and effortless while others struggle again and again. There is no answer. Even when our lives follow God to the best of our ability, He will allow us some valleys to walk through. If not, we would never enjoy or appreciate the mountaintop!

Wherever our journey takes us, we must learn to enjoy the good times and endure the hard times. There are many paths but only one journey. Finding strength in God is the only way to make it through. Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105
