Clarence W. Bierwerth departed this earthly world on June 4, 2021. Born on January 13, 1924, in Chautauqua, NY, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores. Clarence was a decorated WWII Bombardier, earning an Air Medal with three oak leaf clusters, an EAME theatre ribbon with four bronze stars, and a Distinguished Flying Cross. We was shot down three times and held briefly as a prisoner of war before returning stateside. He served in the Air Force Reserves until 1970, where he retired as a Major.

In civilian life, he earned his degree and a graduate degree in Business and Credit Management and went on to work for companies such as Alcoa and FEMA. He had many stories to tell about his life and had a great sense of humor.

Clarence had no children but is survived by his nieces, who cared for him deeply. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation to a charity of your choice be made.
