Dare County Schools summer meals program open for all children

Free summer meals for all children 18 and younger are offered by Dare County Schools.

For the first time period, which began June 14 and runs through July 15, meals can be picked up Mondays through Thursdays.

Starting July 19, meals will be available for pickup Mondays through Fridays.

Pick-up time at all locations is 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Locations for pick-up are Cape Hatteras Elementary, Manteo Elementary and First Flight High School.

Meal distribution via yellow school buses will be available at the following community locations:

Wanchese: Bethany United Methodist Church

Manteo: Roanoke Community Center (Head Start building)

Stumpy Point: Community Center

Manns Harbor: Parking lot beside Fire Department

East Lake: South Lake Drive

Kill Devil Hills: Dare Centre (Belk)

Nags Head: Dowdy Park

Kitty Hawk Elementary

Colington: TJ’s Gas and Grill

Avon: 40591 NC 12, parking lot beside Burger Burger

Rodanthe-Waves-Salvo: Community Building

Buxton: Cape Hatteras Elementary

Hatteras village: Hatteras Village Civic Center
