Wanchese – George E. Marx, 73, died from lung and heart disease June 16, 2021 in Virginia Beach, Va. He was born one of twins, January 6, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York. At age 21, George moved to Hollywood, Florida where he worked as a pool man. More recently, he relocated to the Outer Banks where he lived his final months with his friend and caretaker, Lisa Hayes of Wanchese, NC.

George was predeceased in death by his parents Richard and Doris; his twin brother, Paul Marx (Linda); and his oldest brother, Harvey Marx. Besides his loyal friend Lisa, George is survived by his one niece, Amy Marx Kasimow. Per his wishes, a celebration of George’s life is being planned for a future time in Greynolds Park in North Miami Beach, FL.
