Kill Devil Hills – Carole Elaine Davis died peacefully on June 21, 2021 in her Colington Harbour home. Carole was 83 years old and was born on January 25,1938 in Norfolk, VA. She was the daughter of the late Gladys Miller and James F. Miller and the sister of the late Cheryl Edwards.

Carole was a 1956 graduate of Granby High School in Norfolk, VA. Carole retired in January 1999 from her position in Chesapeake Juvenile Court. She was also employed for 30 years with the State of Virginia Retirement System. Carole loved living in Colington Harbour and working in her beautiful flower garden.

Surviving Carole is her husband of 63 years, Donald R. Davis Sr. of the Colington home; her son, Donald “Donnie” Davis Jr. (Jenifer); two grandchildren, Cormac and Finnegan all of Nags Head, NC; her sister, Patricia Jackson of Bells Island, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

No memorial services are planned at this time. The Davis family extends its special thanks to the nurses of Dare County Home Health & Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s honor may be made to the Colington Fire and Rescue Department, 108 Schoolhouse Road, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948.
