Lindsey Baugham Howard, 79, of Elizabeth City, died June 24, 2021 at home. Born in Wilmington, Del. on March 16, 1942 to the late Lindsey Taft Howard and Elizabeth Gaskins Howard, he was the widower of Ann Esham Howard.  Mr. Howard served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by daughter Gwendolyn Austin (Wade); sons Lindsey Howard Jr. (Sheila) and William King Howard (Kate); sister Loraine Burrus; and grandchildren Christopher Howard, Andrew Howard, Sydney Austin, Colby Austin, Hayden Austin and Hatton Howard.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Albemarle Hospice, 1507 N. Road St., #2, Elizabeth City, NC  27909. Twiford Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City is assisting the family.  www.TwifordFH.com.
