Mariah Kelsey Sayre, 27, of Currituck County, died unexpectedly June 21, 2021. She was born Portsmouth, Va. Mariah is survived by parents Lisa Sayre and Kenneth (Julie) Sayre, sister Aaliyah Sayre and stepsisters Melinda Hickman and Emalee Hickman, grandparents Ken and Susan Sayre and Wayne and Jackie O’Dell, aunts Leslie Cuffee, Laura O’Dell, Deanna (John) Cunningham-Martin and Michelle (Randy) Smith and other family members.

Mariah was preceded in death by great-grandparents John and Georgina Stanley, Ray and Ruth Baughman, Ray and Doris Sayre and Judy Pinnix and Ernest O’Dell.

Celebration of Life services will be held at Parr Funeral Home, 3515 Robs Drive in Suffolk, Va. on June 26 at 2 p.m. In honor of Mariah, friends are encouraged to dress in family-friendly band t-shirts and Vans. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Mariah’s honor to For Pitties Sake Rescue.
