Brian Edward Coons, 56, of Aydlett, died June 24, 2021 at home. Born in Sharon, Conn. on April 12, 1965 to the late Howard Earl Coons and Joan Anne Kilmer Coons, he was the husband of Deborah Ravn Coons. Brian served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Brian Edward Coons Jr., Michael David Coons, Matthew Benjamin Coons, Isaac Anthony Coons and Joshua Adam Coons; step-children Brian Joseph Rudolph, Justin Thomas Rudolph, Kristen Marie Tenney and Madison Ravn; brothers Howard Earl Coons Jr. and wife Wendy, Jeffrey Allen Coons and wife Erin, Todd Andrew Coons; grandchildren Anya Ryann Coons, Madison Elise Coons, Liam Evan Coons, Joshua Coons, Morgan Coons, Jayden Tenney, Logan Tenney, Kaitlyn Tenney, Damion Rudolph, Xavier Rudolph, Payton and Jocelyn Rudolph, Lexi Rudolph, Seth Rudolph and Madison Ravn; and other family members.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on July 10 at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the William Clarence Jackson VFW Post #6060. Twiford Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City is serving the family.  www.TwifordFH.com.
