Galen Leroy Truesdail, 69, of Powells Point, died July 5, 2021 in Elizabeth City while recovering from a serious fall. He was born in Owego, New York the son of Frederick and Josephine Truesdail, who preceded him in death.

Galen is survived by wife Mary Miller; daughter Kelly Costen (Timothy); step-sons Rusty Miller (Ashley) and Chris Miller (Nellie); grandchildren Alexis, Brett and Bryce; two great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

As Galen wished, he will be cremated with no memorial services planned. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations toward medical and cremation expenses be made directly to Gallop Funeral Services, Inc.at 252-216-8030.
