Quite a beauty: Butterfly feeds on passion flower nectar

A variegated fritillary (Euptoieta claudia) butterfly feeds on the nectar of a passion flower (Passiflora incarnata) at Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. The passion flower is part of a woody vine that grows quickly along streams, edges of forests and meadows.
