Jean Hines Crowe, age 85, of Kitty Hawk, died August 16, 2021, at Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton.
A native of Kitty Hawk, she was born April 18, 1936, to the late Mary Midgett Hines and Adolphus Lee Hines Sr.
Jean is survived by daughters Sherry Straub and Myra McCune; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters Wanda Health and Connie Hines; and brothers Shelby Hines and Adolphus L. Hines Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Alvin C. Crowe.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on August 20 at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo with burial at Austin Cemetery, Kitty Hawk. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
