Moran Grant Scarborough, 71, died August 13, 2021. Moran was born in Buxton, NC to the late Sumner Moran Scarborough and Beatrice L. O’Neal Scarborough. He loved listening to old rock and roll music, and was a loving brother with an infectious smile. Moran was predeceased by two sisters, Aldean Mix (David), Anna Gray (Jack); brothers, Sumner R. Scarborough (Earl), Harold Scarborough, and Edward Scarborough (Vivian), and a half-brother, Christopher Baum (Stella).

Left to cherish his memory is his loving sister, Maranda Darlene Scarborough Willis of York, PA; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; a host of other family and friends.

The family would like to thank the Brambles Assisted Living for their loving and compassionate care of Moran over the last years and finally they would also like to thank his caretaker LaTonya for her loving and gentle care of Moran. The family would also like thank Roy and Betty Davis for their continued visits and faithfulness to make sure Moran’s needs were being met.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Willis Family Cemetery on Willis Lane, Hatteras, NC. Following the graveside service, the family will receive friends at the Home of Jackie Gray in Avon. Express condolences to the family at www.altmeyerfh.com.
