Divorced? Separated? Starting the next chapter of life newly single means learning how to handle the emotional, spiritual and economic challenges that these events can create.

Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church invites persons experiencing these life changes to enroll in DivorceCare™, which has support groups operating in more than 12,000 churches worldwide.

The 13-week study will begin Thursday, September 16 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the church’s Youth Lounge at 803. W. Kitty Hawk Rd. in Kitty Hawk. Participants register by calling the church office at 252-261-2062 or by completing a Sunday bulletin insert response.

Natalie Drummond, course leader, will collect a $20 fee for the DivorceCare™ workbook and future course materials at the first meeting.

As one Florida participant attests, “The divorce recovery program has given me back something I thought I had lost: hope. Each week brings me a little closer to where I need and want to be one day, fulfilled with not just life, but more importantly, myself.”

“Join other Outer Banks community members seeking to adjust to these major life changes by enrolling in this DivorceCare™ study this fall,” stated the program’s announcement.
