Otis Colton Pledger, also known as “Crow,” departed this life at approximately 5:19 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Peak Resources Outer Banks in Nags Head, NC.

He was born April 23, 1940 to the late Mary Ann Daniels Pledger and Charlie Henry Pledger Sr. of Manteo, NC. He attended public schools in Dare County and worked for many years as a concrete mason. At an early age, he became a member of Haven Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one devoted daughter, Veronica Brickhouse, of Manteo, NC; one son, Otis McMurran, of Kill Devil Hills, NC; eight grandchildren: Idasia Brickhouse, J’daiha Brickhouse, Dominique Nelson, Veronica McMurran, Jasmine Baum, Kaleb Diaz, Darias McMurran, Draven Fisher; four great grandchildren.

A graveside committal service will be held at Heaven Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Manteo, NC on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 9 a.m.

Hortons Funeral Home and Cremations is entrusted with this service.
